We are looking for compassionate individuals to provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional to provide direct support to clients in our programs. The Direct Support Professional will assist clients with daily living activities, provide assistance with personal care, and provide medication administration. MIH Care Home offers employment opportunities for both men and women, and positions are filled on a first come, first served basis. Work permit in U.S.A. Comfortable working with Adults in level 6 Care Home Able to pass Criminal Background clearance Must be local to Modesto area •Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide direct care, training and supervision to the residents as prescribed in the individual IPP. Comply with facility policies and regulations. Comply with local, state, and federal regulatory standards Provide for the physical care, training, supervision and recreation of resident. Assist residents with habit training, maintenance of a well-groomed appearance, and maintenance of beds, clothing and living areas in a clean and orderly manner. Assist and encourage the residents in developing self-reliance in activities of daily living. Administer treatments and special diets as ordered by physician. Observe resident conditions and behaviors, documenting in resident records significant issues as they occur and notifying administrator/ director and/ or physician as needed. Report any occurrences to on-coming shift, if appropriate. Assist the Program Administrator in making full use of emergency resources. As a member of the treatment team, utilize and build upon the cultural strengths of each resident, providing appropriate interventions and resources. Escort residents to intramural or extramural medical, health, or other community services, and program outings (cultural and community events), including to Day Program and any other needed transportation.
