This role involves providing personalized support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence and quality of life. The DSP will work closely with clients, their families, and other care team members to deliver respectful, effective assistance tailored to each person's needs. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks. Support clients in developing and maintaining social skills, community involvement, and recreational activities. Monitor and document clients' progress, behaviors, and needs to ensure appropriate care plans are followed. Provide emotional support and encouragement to promote confidence and independence. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and reporting any concerns or incidents promptly. Collaborate with team members to coordinate care plans and implement individualized support strategies. Transport clients to appointments, activities, or community outings as needed. Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with clients and team members. Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities. Ability to remain patient, flexible, and adaptable in a dynamic environment. Good organizational skills for managing documentation and daily schedules. Basic knowledge of safety procedures related to caregiving environments. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Pay:
$20.00 - $21.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
