Job Description

In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether supporting residents in group homes, assisted living facilities, or community settings, your energetic and attentive approach will foster a positive environment where clients feel valued and empowered. Responsibilities Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs and preferences Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling techniques during patient transfers Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols Document care activities accurately in client records, including progress notes and incident reports Qualifications Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly desirable Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Experience in group home settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and manual handling safely and effectively Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional training in Alzheimer's care, hospice care, or geriatrics is a plus Strong communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and team members effectively Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards Join us to provide compassionate support that enhances quality of life for those we serve.
