Hiring for Community Facilitators/ Direct Support Professionals Seeking a positive and reliable candidate for a Community Facilitator Position. Full Time Time or Part Time. Make a difference in your community and assist individuals with activities of daily living.
Community Work:
Meeting clients in the community. Assisting clients with ADL such as medical appointments, grocery shopping, school, or important paperwork like SSI and SDHC. Driving from one client to the other as needed. (Ability to travel? Is a plus!) Transporting clients to medical appointments as needed. Documenting any work with clients on the correct forms. (If open to transporting) Applicant must be open to regularly travel between several areas of San Diego County including but not limited to Escondido, Alpine, San Ysidro and Poway. Mileage will be reimbursed. As a direct support professional you will work one-on-one with participants, helping them with developing essential life skills in the following areas: Independent Living Services (ILS) - Teach Daily Living Skills such as household cleaning, shopping, money management, and meal preparation. Supported Living Services (SLS) - Assist clients with caregiving tasks (including assisting with bathing/showering, diaper changing, and more hands-on with individuals with ADLs. Tailored Day Services (TDS) - Assist participants with job searching, college education, transportation, and community access skills.

Requirements:
High school or equivalent. Experience working with disabled individuals. CPR/First Aid Certification, we'll help you obtain it! Flexible schedule Willingness to travel all over San Diego and surrounding locations and transport participants. Must be able to work independently Must have/own reliable transportation California driver's license and proof of automobile insurance and DMV Driving Record (If Transporting) Must be able to go in for an annual vehicle inspection (If Transporting) Benefits offered : Paid time off Health insurance Retirement benefits or accounts

Starting at $18-$19 per hour ( after 3 months of training salary may increase as seen fit ).
