Respiratory Care Assistant

    DESCRIPTION Under general supervision, RT Assistants must be able to perform CPR, perform and transmit EKGs at Hillcrest site, prepare RT equipment for patient use including cleaning and assembly and ventilator check out procedures, insure appropriate stock of supplies are available, including monitoring and replacing inventory in both the stock room and RT storage area.

Additional duties include endoscope cleaning to support licensed staff performing bronchoscopies. Services provided must be documented and if appropriate, charged.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Prior relevant experience in healthcare or a related setting. BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date. Familiarity with monitoring and replacing inventory in a hospital stock room and/or RT storage station.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

One to three (1

  • 3) years of experience in a healthcare environment.

Proven experience with cleaning and assembly and ventilator check-out procedures.

Experience with High-Level Disinfectant.

Experience performing EKS's.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range:

$67,902

  • $67,902 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
