Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their comfort and dignity. Support clients during meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional planning to promote healthy living. Monitor vital signs and observe behavioral patterns to ensure safety and well-being; report any concerns promptly. Implement behavior management strategies tailored to individual needs, fostering positive interactions and progress. Operate standard passenger cars safely for client outings or appointments, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication-related activities diligently. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning client areas and shared spaces. Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable. Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, or geriatrics enhances your ability to support clients effectively. Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, safe patient lifting practices, and manual handling techniques is essential for ensuring safety. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is preferred. Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely and responsibly; a valid driver's license is required. Strong communication skills for engaging with clients respectfully and documenting care activities clearly. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs as required by the role.
