Long-term availability required About the Position Starlight Caregivers is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and experienced Home Health Aide (HHA) for a long-term 12-hour daily shift supporting a medically complex child with significant physical care needs. This is a high-responsibility position requiring a caregiver who is attentive, dependable, comfortable providing hands-on assistance, and able to maintain continuous safety awareness throughout the entire shift. The ideal candidate will have experience working with medically complex children and individuals with severe physical disabilities and will be comfortable following detailed care instructions and safety precautions. Key ResponsibilitiesRespiratory Support & Coughing Assistance Assist with prescribed respiratory treatments according to the client's care plan and training. Provide coughing assistance and monitor the client for changes in respiratory status. Observe and promptly report any concerning changes to the appropriate care team. Follow all established respiratory safety protocols and care instructions. Feeding & Mealtime Safety Provide careful feeding assistance according to the client's care plan. Maintain safe positioning throughout meals and feeding . Closely monitor the client during meals for safety and tolerance. Follow all prescribed feeding and positioning precautions. Positioning, Transfers & Mobility Provide frequent repositioning throughout the shift as required. Assist safely with transfers, mobility, and changes in position. Maintain strict head, neck, and cervical positioning precautions at all times. Use appropriate mobility and transfer techniques and equipment according to the care plan. Maintain proper body alignment and positioning to support the client's safety and comfort. School & Daily Activities Assist the client with getting to and from school as required. Support participation in appropriate daily activities and routines. Provide hands-on assistance while maintaining the client's dignity, independence, and safety. Continuous Safety Monitoring Provide continuous safety monitoring throughout the shift . Remain attentive to the client's physical condition, comfort, positioning, and environment. Identify and communicate changes or concerns promptly. Follow the client's individualized care plan and all safety instructions. Qualifications & Requirements Previous experience as a Home Health Aide, Caregiver, Personal Care Aide, or similar role . Experience providing hands-on care to children or individuals with significant physical disabilities is strongly preferred. Experience with medically complex children is highly preferred. Experience with respiratory treatments and coughing assistance is strongly preferred. Comfortable providing feeding assistance and maintaining proper positioning during meals. Able to safely perform transfers, mobility assistance, and frequent repositioning. Able to follow strict head, neck, and cervical positioning precautions . Reliable, punctual, patient, compassionate, and attentive. Comfortable working independently in a private home setting. Able to maintain continuous safety awareness during a 12-hour shift. Strong communication and documentation skills. Able to follow detailed care plans and instructions consistently. Language Preference Korean-speaking candidates are strongly preferred to support effective communication with the client's family.
