Job Description

Mission Hospice & Home Care serves patients and families in the San Francisco Peninsula and South Bay with quality care and compassionate end-of-life support and education. Founded in 1979, we are a local, independent nonprofit that has provided thousands of patients and their families with physical, emotional, and spiritual support throughout the journey from a life-threatening diagnosis through death and bereavement. This position offers competitive pay, generous benefits, and supportive work environment. We are currently seeking a Hospice Aide to provide personal care services to our hospice patients.
Schedule:
Per diem; 7:30am - 3:30pm; required to be available at least 6 shifts per month
Location:
San Mateo County with occasional coverage to San Ramon •
MUST HAVE HHA LICENSE
• Mission Hospice & Home Care follows all CDPH vaccine requirements for healthcare personnel. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Assist patient in bathing, care of mouth, skin, and hair as needed. Assist patient in and out of bed and with ambulation. Turn patient in bed, position for comfort, and change bed linen. Assist with prescribed exercises as directed.
Education/Experience :
Completion of an approved Home Health Aide (HHA) training program.
HOME CARE AIDE
(HCA)
CERTIFICATION IS NOT ACCEPTED.
Completion of an approved Home Health Aide training program.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current certification to practice as a Home Health Aide in the State of California. Current California Driver's License and automobile insurance that meets State of California requirements, if driving a car.
Pay Range:
