We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Staff to join our team at a Social Service Site (Group Home) As the Direct Support Staff, you will play a crucial role in providing supervision, care, and support to the children in our care. Responsibilities:

Staff must have certain qualifications to be employed with the facility and perform care for the consumers.

Qualifications :

Must be 18 years of age Must be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR, Water Safety, DSP1, CPI Training paid by the company if you don' already have one. Able and willing to lift, bend , walk , move about, turn and stand for lengthy periods of time. Have a valid Driver's License to transport consumers as needed. Able and willing to cook, clean and assist consumers with daily living skills. Able to read, write and speak English for communications with Direct Support Professionals and consumers Able and willing to obtain fingerprint clearance from

D.O.J./F.B.I.

prior to working with consumers. Able and willing to attend courses required by the facility, Regional Center and Community Care Licensing in relation to providing care and services to children with disabilities. Able and willing to work all shifts/days. Mon- Sun, 24/7. Am shift 7am-3pm, Mid Shift 3pm-11pm, Night Shift 11pm-7am. Split shifts offered. Must successfully complete DSP 1 upon one year of hiring and complete DSP2 within the second year of hire date.

Duty Statements :

Be able to assist with meals for the consumers and also able to cook and prepare snacks for consumers for school. Be able to assist with cleaning the facility Able to transport consumers to school, appointments and outings Make sure all cleaning supplies and toxins are locked Help with medications and able to keep data and record when medications were given. Notify the administrator if medications need to be ordered due to the consumer having a few medications left. Help assist the administrator to keep track of the temperatures of the fridges, thermostats, and water and are the acceptable temperature for licensing. Help assist consumer to go to the bathroom and daily living activities if needed Able to follow protocols of Runaway plans, Incident reports and Emergency Plans. Perform CPR and First aid if needed Able to perform CPI when consumers are in harm to themselves. Report to the administrator if there are any signs of sickness or abuse from the client.
