Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and support to residents in group homes, assisted living facilities, or home health settings. Your energy and commitment will help promote independence, safety, and well-being for those you serve. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote dignity and independence Administer medications accurately following HIPAA guidelines and facility protocols Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs Engage in patient observation and communication to assess needs, provide emotional support, and foster positive relationships Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning common areas and resident rooms Follow all safety procedures including CPR, first aid, and infection control standards to ensure resident safety at all times Experience Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities is highly preferred Experience in group home settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is desirable Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, patient monitoring, and vital signs measurement is advantageous Strong communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA regulations Join us in providing compassionate support that empowers individuals to live fulfilling lives.
