Job Description

Overview Alaga Ranch is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Person Care Assistant , you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality personal care and support to our residents, helping to enhance their daily lives in a warm and supportive environment. Our mission is to provide an independent lifestyle for older adults with the personal assistance they need, and we are looking for someone who shares our commitment to resident-centered care. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide assistance with mobility and transfers (ambulation with cane, walker, or with wheelchair. Administer medications and/or provide medication reminders in accordance with established protocols Assist with meal preparation and clean up and feeding as needed Help with housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment Observe and report any changes in resident's physical or mental health Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction. Follow all facility policies to ensure the safety and well being of all residents Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences: First aid and CPR certification Previous experience assisted living facilities, or nursing homes is highly desirable. Familiarity with memory care, Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and hospice care practices. Experience working with individuals with dementia and physical limitations Strong observation skills to identify changes in residents. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client assistance. A commitment to provide compassionate, respectful care Reliable, responsible, self motivated, work well as a TEAM Able to pass a criminal background check

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
