Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and caring Personal Care Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will deliver essential personal care and support services to clients across various settings, including home and community environments. Your energetic approach will help empower clients to maintain independence, dignity, and comfort while ensuring their safety and well-being. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes promptly Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Use proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods, including Hoyer lifts when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry Provide patient transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings Document patient observations, care provided, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism is advantageous Experience with patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and use of care plans is essential Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in HIPAA compliance or hospice care are a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks confidently Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation Demonstrated ability to work independently while adhering to safety standards and protocols Join our team to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve!
