  • 30 Hours BARC is currently seeking professional, caring, and motivated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in our Art Program.

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least age 18. Valid driver's license, clean driving record and reliable transportation. DDS Medication Certification will be required (we will send to training)

Responsibilities:
Provide opportunities for learning new skills and independence by working on individuals' goals and plans through various art activities. Administer medications and treatments meeting all guidelines and accurate documentation. Provide safe and nurturing environment where Individuals are treated with dignity, respect, can exercise their rights and responsibilities and are protected from abuse or neglect. Electronically record daily activities maintaining confidentiality and complying with all policies and procedures to protect the identity, medical, HIPPA information. Obtain and maintain all required certifications and trainings (in person and online). Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Efforts:
May include extended periods of standing, sitting, walking with occasional periods of stooping, crouching, kneeling. Positions may require the ability to independently lift at least 25 pounds, push/pull varying weight (wheelchairs) or have to safely transfer ~35 pounds.
