We are seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in a 24-hour residential group home. The home supports 6-8 individuals with intellectual disabilities . As a DSP, you will provide hands-on support, encouragement, and guidance to help individuals develop daily living skills, participate in activities, maintain their health and safety, and live as independently as possible. What You'll Do As a Direct Support Professional , you will: Support individuals with intellectual disabilities in their daily routines and activities Assist with developing and maintaining daily living skills Encourage individuals to achieve personal goals and greater independence Provide emotional, social, and practical support Monitor the health, comfort, and safety of individuals served Assist with personal care, nutritional, and daily living needs Support medication-related responsibilities as required for the position Prepare meals and assist with household activities Help with housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a safe residential environment Encourage participation in community activities and meaningful experiences Communicate effectively with coworkers and other members of the care team Respect each individual's choices, dignity, independence, and personal goals Available Schedules Regular Position Day, Evening, or Night Shift 5 × 8-hour shifts Every other weekend Weekend Position Friday, Saturday & Sunday 3 × 12-hour shifts Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Must be at least 18 years old Valid U.S. driver's license required, where applicable Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, dependable, and punctual Ability to work effectively as part of a team Genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities Physical Requirements This role involves frequent physical activity, including: Standing and walking for extended periods Bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and squatting Frequent reaching at different levels Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds independently Frequent pushing and pulling up to 40 pounds of force Ability to safely assist with transfers involving up to 50 pounds Make a Difference Every Day If you're a Direct Support Professional (DSP) , caregiver, residential support professional, or experienced support worker who is passionate about helping others, this is an opportunity to build meaningful relationships while making a positive impact.
