A Home Health Aide helps individuals who are disabled, elderly, or chronically ill with daily tasks, such as dressing, washing, and light housekeeping. They can care for patients in their homes or other healthcare settings, and may perform basic medical care under the direction of a nurse or other medical professional. What You Will Do Provide hands on support with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, hygiene, dressing, and mobility Assist with personal care, including bathing, toileting, and medication reminders as needed Support individuals in developing independent living skills such as budgeting, communication, and meal planning Provide transportation to medical appointments, errands, and community outings Encourage participation in social, recreational, and volunteer activities such as fitness, crafts, Special Olympics, and community events Implement behavioral support strategies and use de escalation techniques when needed Collaborate with nurses, behaviorists, nutritionists, and other clinical team members to provide well rounded care Assist with goal planning, progress tracking, and skill development Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and daily activities What You Will Need High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Willingness to learn with no prior experience required .
