Job Description

Job Summary I am looking for a part time weekend PCA. Part time here is limited to 16 hours per week. It can be booked over one or two days. Besides normal care, I am looking for someone who has a license and car to potentially help me get to and from a winter ski outing at a location to be determined up to 2-2.5 hours away by car. I am a male, age 41, with moderate level Cerebral Palsy mainly in my legs. An applicant must be able to speak fluent English and understand directions in the same. Likes and/or appreciates the winter is preferred as one major activity I enjoy is snow skiing and the applicant would be helping me transport to the adaptive site. Additionally, the following would be helpful, Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being. Assist with transfers using patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques to ensure safety for both clients and caregivers Prior experience in senior care, long-term care facilities, assisted living, or home care is highly desirable Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is a plus Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices during patient transfers Must demonstrate compassion, patience, and professionalism while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Join in delivering compassionate care that empowers individuals to live healthier, more independent lives.
