Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home health environments. In this role, you will assist residents or clients with daily activities, monitor their well-being, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help improve the quality of life for those you serve, fostering independence and dignity every step of the way. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor patient health by reporting changes in compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, including meal planning and cooking in accordance with health guidelines Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or neurodevelopmental disorders Assist with transfers, manual handling tasks, and other physical support activities while practicing proper body mechanics for safety Skills Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care environments is highly desirable Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in condition or behavior promptly Knowledge of care procedures, such as patient monitoring Familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer's care, memory care, and/ or dementia care. Ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA privacy standards Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and supporting residents' social needs Physical stamina for heavy lifting, assisting with transfers using Hoyer lifts, and manual handling tasks Join us in providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to live healthier, happier lives.
