IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT DDS
Med Certified staff required for this position. Candidates must already be DDS Medication Certified or eligible to maintain certification.
Schedule Part-Time:
14 hours per week. Every Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 a.m.

About the Role Chapel Haven Schleifer Center is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to support adults with disabilities in developing daily living, social, and independence skills within our residential program. DSPs play a key role in teaching life skills, supporting personal care routines, and helping individuals build confidence and independence in a structured, supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Teach daily living skills including cooking, nutrition, hygiene, and home maintenance Support residents with cleaning, laundry, and organization skills Promote positive social skills and relationship building Complete documentation and case notes as required Administer medication (DDS Med Certification required) Provide transportation when needed (valid CT driver's license required) What We're Looking For DDS Med Certified (required) Experience working with individuals with developmental or learning disabilities preferred Ability to obtain CT Public Service License Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable, patient, and supportive approach Why Join Chapel Haven Competitive pay at $21.60/hour Meaningful, mission-driven work Supportive and collaborative team culture Opportunities for growth and long-term career development Flexible part-time schedule
