Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Personal Care Assistant (PCA) who drives to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various living environments. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for residents by assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and fostering independence. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Provide medication administration support and monitor vital signs as needed Support residents with memory care, dementia care, and behavioral management strategies Operate EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems accurately to document care activities and resident information Drive residents safely to appointments, outings, or community activities while maintaining adherence to traffic laws and safety protocols Help with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining cleanliness in personal and shared spaces Use assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids to promote safety during transfers and mobility tasks Support residents in assisted living or long-term care settings, including retirement homes or group homes Maintain a clean environment by performing light housekeeping duties related to resident care areas Engage socially with residents to promote mental well-being and social interaction Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving residents preferred Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly desirable Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other cognitive impairments Familiarity with medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring Strong caregiving skills with an understanding of personal care needs and behavior management techniques Ability to work independently and as part of a team in dynamic environments Excellent communication skills and compassionate approach toward resident support Join us in delivering heartfelt care that empowers individuals to live their best lives! Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
