Daniel's Companions is hiring Russian-speaking caregivers to support one client in her private home in Pawcatuck. Care is provided seven days a week from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and we are hiring two caregivers to cover the week. This is a steady, long-term assignment with the same client, the same home, and a set schedule — no bouncing between cases and no unpredictable hours. Our client uses a wheelchair and has partial mobility. She needs hands-on help with transfers, bathing, and getting around her home, along with light housekeeping and home-cooked meals. She and her family communicate primarily in Russian, so the caregiver in this role must be able to speak Russian with the client and her family about her daily care. Splitting the week between two caregivers means neither person is stretched thin and the client always has reliable coverage. 00 per hour, paid biweekly Location Client's private home, Pawcatuck, CT 06379 Both positions are full-time and benefit-eligible. The days shown are our preferred split, and we have some flexibility in how the week is divided between the two caregivers — tell us the days that work for you, and we will do our best to build the schedule around them. What You'll Do Hoyer lift transfers: Assist with transfers using a Hoyer (mechanical) lift — bed to wheelchair, wheelchair to chair, and back Mobility support: Help the client move safely around her home, reposition, and get in and out of her wheelchair Personal care: Bathing and showering assistance, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and incontinence care Meal preparation: Plan and prepare home-cooked meals, assist with eating when needed, and keep the kitchen stocked and clean Light housekeeping: Dishes, laundry, changing linens, tidying living areas, and keeping the client's spaces clean and safe Medication reminders: Remind the client to take her medications as scheduled (caregivers do not administer medication)

Companionship:

Conversation, activities, and accompanying the client to appointments or errands as requested

Documentation:

Clock in and out through our electronic visit verification (EVV) system and complete daily care notes What We're Looking For Ability to speak Russian with the client and her family about her daily care — this client and her family communicate primarily in Russian, so it is a requirement of this specific assignment Hands-on experience with a Hoyer or similar mechanical lift — this is essential to the role and will be discussed in the interview Prior caregiving experience as a PCA, HHA, CNA, or in a comparable role (training and certification support available for the right candidate) Comfortable with personal care, including bathing and toileting, delivered with dignity and respect Dependable and on time — this client depends on her caregiver arriving as scheduled Valid driver's license and reliable transportation 18 years or older, legally authorized to work in the United States Able to pass a background check, drug screening, and required health screenings, and to provide references Physical Requirements This role involves standing and walking for most of the shift, bending, and assisting an adult client with transfers using a mechanical lift.
