Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Duties 3-11pm Shift. Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Help clients with mobility and physical tasks, including lifting and transferring as necessary. Support individuals with disabilities in their home or assisted living environments. Monitor and report any changes in client health or behavior to appropriate personnel. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed. Skills Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in assisted living settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of memory care techniques and patient care best practices. Proficiency in home care responsibilities, including cooking and assisting with household tasks. Strong caregiving skills with an emphasis on compassion and empathy. Ability to lift and assist clients safely while maintaining their dignity. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Flexibility to adapt to changing needs of clients and work schedules.
