Duties Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare teams promptly. Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations to maintain confidentiality and safety. Prepare nutritious meals, assist with meal planning, and ensure proper food handling and sanitation standards are met. Facilitate patient transfers using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods to promote safety during mobility. Engage clients in meaningful activities tailored to their interests and needs, fostering social interaction and cognitive engagement. Maintain clean living environments by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols. Requirements Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient care procedures including assisting with ADLs, medication administration, patient monitoring, and vital signs measurement. Experience in group home settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is advantageous. Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and patient transfers safely and effectively. Strong communication skills for effectively interacting with clients, families, and healthcare teams while respecting residents' rights. Certifications in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, and HIPAA compliance are desirable but can be obtained upon hire.
