Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Home Care Aide serving Wilmington and Newark! In this vital role, you will provide personalized in-home care to clients, promoting their independence, safety, and comfort. Your energetic and caring approach will help enhance the quality of life for individuals across diverse needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, or individuals requiring specialized memory or hospice care. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patient health through observation of vital signs and overall condition, reporting changes promptly Implement patient transfer methods safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to prevent injury Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a trusting relationship with clients and their families Follow home healthcare regulations and maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment Support clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care, patience, and redirection Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare settings is highly required Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or geriatrics is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts Familiarity with home health agency operations, hospice care practices, and home & community care standards Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation accuracy Join us in delivering exceptional home scare services that truly make a dfference!
