Duties Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals promptly. Support medication administration and ensure adherence to care plans while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with cooking, cleaning kitchen areas, and maintaining a hygienic environment. Engage residents in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and mental well-being. Document care provided accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and assist in developing or updating individual care plans. Maintain a safe environment by performing routine safety checks, cleaning common areas, and adhering to infection control protocols such as dementia or Alzheimer's-specific memory care procedures. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environment is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; stamina for long shifts involving standing or walking.
