Job Description

NOW HIRING - DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
(DSP) Changing Lives Group, LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to an individual with developmental disabilities. This position is ideal for someone who is patient, reliable, and committed to helping others live safely and independently at home and in the community.
  • Available Live-In Schedules
  • Option 1 Monday 7:00 AM - Friday 7:00 AM Option 2 Friday 7:00 AM - Monday 7:00 AM Responsibilities ✔ Provide assistance with all activities of daily living (ADLs) throughout the day.
✔ Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, bathing, meal preparation, mobility, and daily routines. ✔ Support the individual during community outings, appointments, shopping, and recreational activities. ✔ Administer medications in accordance with APD requirements. ✔ Implement positive behavior supports, provide redirection, and assist with de-escalating behaviors when needed. ✔ Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment. ✔ Complete required documentation accurately and on time. Qualifications ✔ APD Medication Validation Certification is required or must be obtained before starting the position. ✔ Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. ✔ Experience managing challenging behaviors, de-escalation techniques, and positive redirection is strongly preferred. ✔ Dependable, compassionate, patient, and professional. ✔ Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are preferred.
