Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our care team in a (PPEC) setting. The ideal candidate will assist in providing quality care to medically fragile children in a day health center environment. This role involves working alongside nurses and therapists to support the developmental and medical needs of children with complex health conditions.Responsibilities:
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as feeding, bathing, diapering, dressing, and toileting
- Support mobility needs including transferring and positioning
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children
- Observe and report changes in the child's condition to nursing staff
- Help facilitate play, learning, and social activities appropriate to developmental levels
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of RNs, LPNs, therapists, and case managers
- Follow individualized care plans and center protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and interactions
Requirements:
- Valid Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in FL
- Current CPR/BLS certification (infant/child required)
- Experience working with children, preferably in a healthcare or special needs setting
- Ability to lift and carry and assist with transfers
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of medically complex children
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with pediatric populations
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other language)
- Familiarity with developmental milestones and pediatric medical conditions Apply Today!
