Responsibilities Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and observe patient health status, including vital signs and overall condition Administer medications and perform basic medical tasks following healthcare plans and protocols Ensure patient safety during transfers using appropriate methods such as patient transfer techniques or Hoyer lifts Provide companionship and emotional support Follow healthcare regulations and maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards Assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, and laundry to promote a safe and comfortable environment Communicate effectively with clients and healthcare teams to coordinate care plans and report changes in patient condition Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS), including CPR training required Ability to lift objects safely and perform physical tasks such as lifting or assisting with patient transfers Familiarity with health agency operations, home & community care standards, and healthcare regulations Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation accuracy Experience using EMR/EHR systems for medical records management is highly desirable Prior assisted living or long-term care experience with children is advantageous Ability to work independently Join us to provide compassionate, professional health care that truly makes a difference!
