Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medication Technician/Resident Care Assistant to join our dedicated healthcare team. Duties Administer prescribed medications accurately following state healthcare regulations and facility policies while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines to protect resident confidentiality Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to assess residents' health status Assist residents with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support to promote independence and dignity Document all patient interactions, medication administration, and medical records accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Cerner or similar platforms Communicate effectively with residents, families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care delivery and address individual needs promptly Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred Demonstrated experience in hospital or home care environments working with geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) including CPR, AED and First Aid certification is required Experience providing, hospice support Understanding of state Board of Nursing regulations and compliance standards related to medication administration and patient safety Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while assisting residents with mobility or transfers using proper manual handling techniques Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to foster trust and rapport with residents and team members Join us in creating a caring environment where residents feel valued and supported every day!
