Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, administering medication, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutrition planning to promote healthy living Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with manual handling to ensure safe mobility Maintain accurate care plans, document patient progress, and adhere to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality Provide companionship and emotional support to residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or neurodevelopmental disorders Assist with community outings, transportation needs, and ensuring resident safety during activities outside the facility Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and dementia or memory care practices Ability to perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and sanitary environment Experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient monitoring procedures Familiarity with care plans, resident rights, HIPAA compliance, and patient personal care assistance Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable; ongoing training provided if necessary Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, patient transfers using techniques like the Hoyer lift, and manual handling tasks Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork in a caregiving setting Join us as a Direct Support Professional and become an essential part of a dedicated team committed to enriching lives through compassionate care.
