With over a decade of dedicated service, our healthcare providers are trained to support the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and children with disabilities, ensuring they receive respectful and high-quality care in their own homes. Overview We are seeking a dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA) in to deliver personalized care to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for caregiving, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring their safety and comfort in accordance with home healthcare regulations. Responsibilities Provide patient observation to monitor health status and report any changes promptly. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Administer medications and perform basic medical tasks such as taking vital signs and catheter care under supervision. Maintain accurate medical documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Support clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning to promote a safe and comfortable environment. Assist with transfers using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids; ensure proper patient transfer techniques are followed. Provide specialized care for clients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or those requiring hospice or end-of-life care. Follow all home health care assistance protocols including medication administration, medical terminology understanding, and emergency procedures like first aid and CPR. Qualifications Prior experience working as an HHA or in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of home health care regulations, medical terminology, and patient safety standards. Experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory care is preferred. Certification in first aid and basic life support (CPR) is required; additional certifications such as hospice or dementia care training are advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes; understanding of HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are often necessary depending on client location.
