Responsibilities Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance Monitor and observe patient conditions regularly, noting changes in health status and reporting findings accurately Medications reminders Ensuring proper documentation in compliance with home healthcare regulations and HIPAA confidentiality standards Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, including those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, fostering a positive environment Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living space for clients Utilize patient transfer methods safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices; employ proper patient transfer techniques to prevent injury Follow all safety protocols including first aid and basic life support (CPR), especially during emergencies or end-of-life care situations Communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure clarity about care plans and address any concerns promptly Experience Prior experience working in private homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes is highly preferred Demonstrated experience assisting individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is advantageous Experience providing dementia or memory care for geriatric patients enhances your ability to deliver specialized support Join us if you are passionate about delivering high-quality care that improves lives.
