Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
  • Administer medications according to prescribed dosages and schedules
  • Monitor and document vital signs and health status of individuals under your care
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals, fostering a positive and nurturing environment
  • Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving individuals to appointments or outings
  • Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals or family members
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals, ensuring their comfort and well-being
  • Successfully complete required pre-service training course and basic training courses within 90 days of providing services.
Skills:
  • Experience in hospice care, senior care, or caregiving
  • Knowledge of medication administration systems and protocols
  • Ability to provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor when providing care to individuals in need
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
