- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Administer medications according to prescribed dosages and schedules
- Monitor and document vital signs and health status of individuals under your care
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals, fostering a positive and nurturing environment
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving individuals to appointments or outings
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals or family members
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals, ensuring their comfort and well-being
- Successfully complete required pre-service training course and basic training courses within 90 days of providing services.
Skills:
- Experience in hospice care, senior care, or caregiving
- Knowledge of medication administration systems and protocols
- Ability to provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when providing care to individuals in need
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
