Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patients' vital signs and observe their condition to ensure safety and well-being Administer medication following care plans and HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, including cooking and meal planning Support clients in participating in community activities, social outings, and recreational programs to promote engagement and independence Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient observations, and progress notes in compliance with privacy standards Perform light cleaning duties to ensure a safe and hygienic environment within group homes or residential settings Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient care techniques including assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and patient monitoring Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance are required; additional training in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or hospice care is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks associated with caregiving responsibilities Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, team members, and healthcare professionals Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward supporting individuals with disabilities or health challenges Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends or holidays as needed Join our team as a Direct Support Professional and be part of a dedicated community committed to enriching lives through compassionate care.
