About the
Company:
Central Florida Communities, Inc. (CFC) has warm, welcoming, home-inspired facilities and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities in Orange, Brevard, Lake and Seminole Counties. CFC operates three 64-bed Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled (ICF/DD's), Howell Branch Court, Lake View Court and Washington Square. As a member of our staff, you will be a part of one of these living centers and provide vital around the clock care, which includes nursing and medical oversight, to our residents.
Purpose:
This position directly supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position helps with everyday tasks such as Activities of Daily Living that may include and not limited to daily personal hygiene, toileting, meal service, mobility transfers, risk mitigation and following any applicable behavioral management plans.
Essential Duties:
Actively engages with individuals at all times and provide all necessary supports to meet their needs, including all direct care and service requirements. Follows Active Treatment/Programming schedule. Identifies hazards or dangerous behaviors in the environment and takes immediate action to avoid, mitigate or eliminate, and report hazardous conditions or unsafe behaviors. Ensures the safety of self, residents/consumers, co-workers, families, guardians and visitors at all times. Implements electronic and paper documentation of training needs including programming, incident reporting, data collection and behavior observations. Perform clinical duties within level of competency, including emptying Foley catheters, obtaining and documenting vital signs, conducting blood glucose checks, recording weights, and completing other assigned clinical tasks.
Required Qualification:
High School Diploma or equivalent education and CNA Certificate are required. Must be 18 years of age or older. 6 months experience preferred working with Intellectual/Developmental Disability populations.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$18.50 per hour Central Florida Communities is a drug free workplace and an equal opportunity employer.
