As Direct Support Staff, you will help others lead a meaningful life and become as independent as possible in a home setting.

Part time positions:

Opening 1: Resident appointments Monday

• Friday in the mornings. Taking residents to medical appointments as scheduled. (May require last minute appointments for labs and emergencies. Mileage is paid. Hours per week vary) Opening 2: Monday
• Thursday 2 pm to 10 pm, Fridays 2 pm
• 8 pm Opening 3: Monday
• Thursday 10 pm
• 8 am (awake shift) Opening 4: Saturdays 3 pm
• 8 pm and Sundays 11 am
• 7 pm Opening 5: Saturdays 11 am
• 7 pm and Sundays 3 pm
• 8 pm

Responsibilities:

Willing to teach, prompt, assist in accomplishing goals Transporting residents to medical appointments Communicating with doctors professionally and responsibly. Taking residents into the community for activities.

Requirements:

Must have at least 1 year of related work experiences (experience MUST be on resume. If related work experience is not on resume, you will not be considered for this position) Willing to work with developmentally disabled adults Able to pass local, FBI and FDLE background screening per DCF requirements https://info.flclearinghouse.com/ Able to complete required training in a timely manner Able to use a computer to complete paperwork, reports, and send emails Willingness to conform to policies, procedures, and state mandates Must have High school diploma or GED (MUST have a copy of diploma or GED) Valid driver's license & reliable transportation Clean driving record (5 years) Must be able to multi-task Must be organized Non-smoking position Due to the nature of services we provide, all level two background screenings are filtered through DCF then APD to determine if an individual's criminal history (if there is one) makes them ineligible to work with a vulnerable population per state of Florida statues.
