Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants / Home Health Aides to provide essential in-home care for clients of all ages for our PRN PCA pool, with a possibility to gain permanent part-time or full-time hours in the future. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, offer emotional support, and ensure the safety and well-being of those in their care. This role is vital in helping clients maintain independence and improve their quality of life within the comfort of their homes. Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care is highly valued, along with a genuine passion for caregiving. All provided in the clients home in around the Athens, GA area. Currently PRN openings for our clients in the South Athens - Watkinsville area. Duties Use of own reliable vehicle to / from home visits a must Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance Provide medication reminders Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment Support patients with activities of daily living to promote independence and dignity Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation Help with light transfers or overhead lifts to ensure safety during mobility assistance Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members Assist with specialized care needs such as dementia care, working with people with disabilities, or hospice care requirements Transport clients to appointments when needed Pickup clients groceries and or medications when needed Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care settings is preferred Experience providing senior care, dementia care, or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus Knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing skills is advantageous Previous caregiving roles involving meal preparation, cleaning, or heavy lifting are beneficial Certification as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) or similar credential is mandatory; relevant training will be provided if needed This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients while developing valuable skills in healthcare and caregiving.
