Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal care. In this vital role, you will provide attentive, respectful, and personalized care to residents in various settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure their comfort and dignity Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; report any concerns promptly to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Facilitate patient transfers using proper manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts to promote safety during mobility tasks Maintain cleanliness of living spaces by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring a hygienic environment Provide emotional support through active listening, engaging in conversation, and fostering a positive atmosphere for residents or clients Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor patient status accurately Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and patient transfer methods Experience working with individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is a plus Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in HIPAA compliance is essential Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with manual handling tasks such as patient transfers using Hoyer lifts or other equipment Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within multidisciplinary care settings Join us if you're passionate about providing compassionate care that enhances quality of life!
