Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care and support for individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. Duties Provide comprehensive personal care assistance, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, recognizing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as meal preparation, medication administration, catheter care, and light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment. Support clients with mobility transfers using patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Document medical records meticulously, including medication logs, vital signs, and care notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and home healthcare standards. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and medical terminology guidelines while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Provide emotional support and companionship tailored to clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care activities and end-of-life care when needed. Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare settings with geriatric or disabled populations. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, catheter care, and basic life support (BLS) including CPR certification. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient information and medical records. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper patient transfer techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Valid certifications in first aid, CPR, and home health care assistance; additional certifications related to hospice or end-of-life care are advantageous.
