Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges. This role involves assisting individuals in their daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence within a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to individual-centered care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is highly valued. Responsibilities Adhere to all safety protocols including CPR, First Aid, Developmental Disabilities, Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and hospice care procedures Monitor and document individuals ' health status, vital signs, and behavioral changes in accordance with care plans Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and facility protocols Provide observation and ensure safety during activities and transitions Follow care plans meticulously while adapting to individual needs and preferences Engage individuals in social activities to promote mental well-being and community involvement Qualifications Ability to pass a background check required. Prior experience working with people with developmental disabilities or in home care settings preferred Knowledge of patient monitoring, vital signs, medication administration, and HIPAA regulations required Certifications such as CPR and First Aid required Strong communication skills and patience when working with diverse populations including those with disabilities or cognitive impairments Ability to work flexible hours including shifts that may involve evenings or weekends if needed
