In this vital role, you will provide hands-on assistance, promote independence, and ensure a safe, respectful environment for residents across various care settings. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a positive atmosphere while delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and observe patients' health status, noting changes in behavior or condition and reporting findings accurately Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist with meal service to promote proper nutrition Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning patient areas and laundry Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges Document patient care activities, vital signs, and observations meticulously to support ongoing care planning Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and basic nursing skills such as vital signs monitoring Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable; ongoing training in dementia or Alzheimer's care is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed for resident support Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia Valid certification or experience working with residents requiring memory care or hospice support is advantageous Embark on a rewarding career where your efforts directly enhance the quality of life for those you serve.
