Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Personal Care Assistant, where your compassionate nature and proactive attitude will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal care. In this vital role, you will provide attentive, respectful, and personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether working in a home setting, assisted living facility, or group home environment, you will be the trusted companion and caregiver that enhances quality of life through attentive support and genuine kindness. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe for any changes in condition or behavior. Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans established by healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking. Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and proper infection control practices. Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance. Document care activities accurately in compliance with privacy regulations like HIPAA; update care plans regularly to reflect evolving needs. Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for residents or clients. Collaborate with healthcare teams, social workers, or family members to coordinate comprehensive care strategies. Support patients during outings or community activities to promote social engagement and independence. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health care, or no experience if your willing to learn! Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs of distress or deterioration. Hands-on experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and care plan implementation. Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dementia (including Alzheimer's disease), or memory care needs. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are advantageous. Experience using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids is beneficial. Ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting safely while maintaining patient dignity and comfort. Pay:
$16.50 - $22.50 per hour
