Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in various care settings. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Help with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining proper nutrition for clients with diverse dietary needs Provide patient observation and report any changes in condition or behavior to healthcare professionals promptly Assist with mobility using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques Maintain cleanliness of client living spaces through light cleaning and sanitation tasks Support residents' rights by respecting their preferences, dignity, and independence at all times Facilitate transportation assistance for appointments or community outings using appropriate safety procedures Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and home & community care protocols Qualifications Previous experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care practices Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is advantageous Ability to monitor patients' vital signs and recognize signs of distress or health deterioration Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, patient transfer methods, and manual handling techniques Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with patient transfers safely Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and personalized patient care Join our team to deliver vital support that enhances the lives of those in need!
