Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. This position involves providing essential support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their needs are met while promoting their independence and well-being. This is a full time position (32-40) hours per week, with weekly pay. Services provided will be day habilitation support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, monitoring, and observation, making a positive impact in the lives of those they assist. Duties Support individuals to achieve their goals in the day habiliation setting. Provide an encouraging and helpful presence in the day habilitation setting. Instructing others how to perform a variety of tasks from money skills to art projects. Support individuals in daily living activities and promote skill development. Facilitate recreational activities and community engagement opportunities. Support individuals at community outings like dining out, the county fair, and bowling. Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients in all settings. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Qualifications Experience in assisted living, HCBS, or working with people with disabilities is preferred. Background check is required. Valid driver's license required. Strong skills in patient observation and documentation. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor. Commitment to promoting independence and dignity for individuals of all abilities.
