Direct Support Professional to join our Day Services Program. The DSP will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities while promoting independence, personal growth, safety, and social engagement. The ideal candidate is patient, outgoing, professional, and comfortable leading groups. Responsibilities Plan and lead engaging daily programs Lead culinary activities involving simple meal preparation Facilitate fitness, movement, games, crafts, and educational activities Support members with daily living, social, and communication skills Follow individualized service plans and assist members with personal goals Support community outings and provide transportation when needed Observe, document, and report changes in members' behavior, health, progress, or safety needs Maintain a safe, respectful, positive, and organized environment Respond appropriately to emergencies and challenging situations Participate in required training, meetings, and supervision Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow individualized plans and detailed instructions Valid driver's license if transportation is required Ability to pass required background checks and meet Iowa HHS requirements Patient, dependable, energetic, and committed to person-centered care Ability to safely perform physical duties, including standing, walking, participating in activities, and assisting members as needed Join My Brother's Keeper and help create meaningful experiences while empowering individuals to build confidence and independence. Pay:
