What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities): As a Job Coach, you will be the key to helping individuals with disabilities achieve their professional goals.
Your role includes:
Direct Support:
Providing one-on-one assistance to individuals with disabilities/employment barriers to learn and perform their job duties effectively.
Problem Solving:
Identifying employment barriers and developing creative, practical solutions to overcome them.
Employer Partnership:
Maintaining strong relationships with our partner employers to ensure they have dedicated, successful employees.
Empowerment:
Guiding and supporting Thrive consumers so they can "Thrive" and maintain successful, long-term employment. What You'll Bring (Requirements):
Passion & Professionalism:
A genuine passion for helping others and a professional, positive attitude in all interactions.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coaching and collaboration.
Independence & Teamwork:
The ability to work independently to manage your schedule and tasks, while also contributing effectively as part of the wider Thrive team.
Experience:
Some prior experience in this or a related field (e.g., human services, education, coaching) is preferred.
Compliance:
Must be able to pass a background check and complete all professional development standards required by the State of Iowa for Community Rehabilitation Provider settings within required timelines. Reliable Transportation is required.
