Our mission is to foster independence through compassionate support, helping individuals to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life. We provide family education both individual and group, community-based supports both individual and group, and respite care services both individual and group. As an employee of Kahak Health Services you will be a part of a team of skilled and dedicated professionals who value integrity, respect, and teamwork. This position requires the ability to assist individuals with teaching skills and offering aid to accomplish their personally set goals for independent living.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Assisting with activities of daily living, Monitoring for safety, Transporting to activities, Assisting with basic hygiene, Behavior management (training is provided), Submit daily progress notes, and Maintain a healthy and safe environment for the individual and the employee. Perform simple nursing care, first-aid, behavior management, personal and hygiene.
Requirements:
A minimum of one year experience in the medical or a related field (social work, psychology, nursing assistance, etc.) Additionally, the following are required: A reliable car A current driver's license A current work authorization Current auto insurance Current CPR & First Aid Current physical exam Current tuberculosis test with negative result Social Security Card Resume If hired, a background check (FBI) and a Central Registry check will be required.
