at WITCO, Inc in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Mentors provide on-the-job coaching and support to people with disabilities working at their job site in the community. Serves as an instructor, mentor, and advocate for individuals on assigned caseload.
Essential Job Functions:
Assure all services contained in person centered plan are provided either directly or in coordination with other Support Professionals. Provide work and employment training services training to people who are cognitively, behaviorally and/or physically disabled. Provide or arrange transportation as required. Monitor progress towards goals, collect data on all services provided, evaluate results, make recommendations. Complete documentation and maintain accurate records, prepare reports as required. Assess the strengths of individuals and teach them to use them effectively. Teach job skills to the employee and guide in learning to complete job tasks. Assist the employee with soft skills such as social skills and communication in the workplace. Counsel employee on fine-tuning work habits/skills to maintain employment. Help the employee stay motivated through difficult times. Encourage the development of self-esteem and independence. Work with the employer to identify their needs and workplace goals, and the employee's role in them.
