This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact by providing individuals with opportunities for community inclusion, and promoting life skills with choice and independence. Duties Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe their condition to ensure safety and well-being Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking, ensuring dietary needs are met Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to support mobility and transfers Maintain detailed documentation of patient care, progress notes, and incident reports in compliance with HIPAA standards Support residents' participation in social activities, community outings, and recreational programs to promote engagement and quality of life Experience Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes Experience with patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and care planning Familiarity with working with individuals with autism or disabilities ensures tailored support strategies Hands-on experience using mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or resident transfer devices Certification in CPR and first aid is required; this is a paid training that our agency provides for you Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent Join us as a Direct Support Professional —a rewarding career where your compassion fuels positive change.
