Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately in accordance with HIPAA regulations Administer medications following care plans and ensure proper documentation of medication administration Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while promoting healthy eating habits Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility and transfers Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings to promote independence and social engagement Skills Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Strong knowledge of patient observation, monitoring vital signs, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), and neurodevelopmental disorders support Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, HIPAA compliance, and resident's rights is essential Ability to perform patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively; experience with manual handling is a plus Excellent communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members in a respectful manner Competence in first aid and CPR certification ensures readiness for emergency situations Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism enhances your ability to provide tailored support Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining a positive attitude toward caregiving responsibilities Join us in making a real difference by providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to live fulfilling lives.
