Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting changes to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following prescribed protocols and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Operate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during movement or transfers Maintain accurate care plans, document patient observations, and update records regularly to ensure continuity of care Provide personal transportation assistance for appointments or community outings, ensuring safety at all times Support patients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques and patient observation Engage in light cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards within living spaces or care environments Follow all safety protocols including manual handling procedures, first aid, CPR certification, and resident's rights adherence to promote a safe environment for everyone Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living communities Strong knowledge of patient monitoring techniques including vital signs measurement and dementia or Alzheimer's care strategies Familiarity with care plans development and medication administration processes in compliance with healthcare regulations Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper manual handling techniques and assist with patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts Excellent communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and reporting observations accurately Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly valued Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times Competence in providing home & community care services including home health visits and hospice support when required Ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations through first aid and CPR training Enthusiasm for caregiving roles that require patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting diverse needs Join us in delivering compassionate care that transforms lives!
